New Home for the Tour de Broads

Since the sudden, unexpected and utterly disappointing news that the council’s plans for Scottow Enterprise Park no longer included PedalPark, the search to find the perfect location for Tour de Broads is finally over.

We are delighted to announce that we’ve found a fantastic new home for our Northern Tour de Broads on 20th August.

Hoveton Hall is a stunning venue, perfectly located in the heart of the Broads National Park and offering stunning scenery and a tranquillity that is perfect for cyclists to sit awhile and relax with family and friends after a long ride.

This beautiful estate just 2 miles north of Wroxham covers 620 acres of parkland, gardens, woodland, arable and grazing land. At the heart of the estate is the beautiful Hoveton Hall, built in 1812 and a much-loved family home. The Buxton family are delighted to be able to share their home with visitors and they warmly welcome guests to the estate to enjoy this very special part of Norfolk.
The stunning gardens are open to the public between April and September, you can enjoy a bed & breakfast stay in the hall, a longer break in the self-contained East Wing holiday cottage or hire the estate for your own private function. Hoveton Hall Estate is perfectly placed for you to explore this lovely part of Norfolk.

Tour de Broads, now in its 5th year has grown to become the largest locally organised and run, not-for-profit cycle event in the region, raising funds for charity and local cycling projects. This year the event supports Macmillan, EAAA, Nelsons Journey and NNAB.

The event engages and inspires riders of all ages and abilities with fully signposted and supported routes ranging from 5 to 100 miles. For most riders, this may be the only cycle event they tackle, for some it inspires them to continue cycling and enjoying the benefits of an active lifestyle.
Explore countless charming villages in the Broads National Park by bike before enjoying the warm welcome that awaits you from the Tour de Broads team and the Buxton Family as you cross the finish line amidst the beautiful parkland setting before Hoveton Hall.

Our August Tour de Broads is the second in a two-part event to top-and-tail a summer of cycling in the Broads, with the springtime edition of Tour de Broads set to start from Great Yarmouth Promenade on 30th April and exploring the southern Broads. Cyclists riding both events will be rewards with a unique pair of interlocking medals to form a lasting souvenir of your double achievement.
